Default Comet Machholz Parallax

A group of observers from around the world have had a little project
over the last few days. Getting co-incident cloud free observing
sessions across great distances has proved to be quite tricky!

Pete

Another really impressive bit of work! Hope you get the weather you need
to pull off the rest of the project as planned - you ain't relying on
anyone from the Glasgow area are you??? ;-)

Had a wee look at Machholz with a pair of 15x70 bins - very obvious even
though it was low and in some serious sodium haze. Hope to get out
somewhere darker for another look over the holidays.

Cheers
Dave

Thanks Dave. Yes - there's someone in Glasgow working for the cause.
The weather has been pretty grim across many of the observing sites
though. Amazing how bad the weather can be in countries that are, in
minds eye anyway, always sunny and warm!

Best of luck. If you're interested, there's a group been set-up for
making global observations. Even if you're not able to contribute
directly, you may have other talents that could be useful. The
group's website is he

How about Bristol? 51.3 / -2
