Default Synchronous motors

Hi, question on where to purchase a Synchronous motor that may fit a
Meade 826 with little or no mods? I've been restoring this tele and
thought all was well with the drive (which I rarely used) until it
started makng a bit more noise than I usually hear from it.

Took it apart and found some tiny metal pieces inside. At times it spins
too freely, other times it will lock up (resistance) if I try to spin
the motor and it seems to work properly on AC, then it stops again. My
guess is some of the teeth may have broke off one of the gears.

I've looked for suppliers and called Meade but no luck so far. Tried
scopestuff, Astromart via email, nothing. Trying to get in touch with
Bristol Saybrook and Cramer company, two manufacturers listed as makers
of the motors used by Meade.

Even if I have to use another motor and redesign the drive I want to get
it working again. Any ideas on which business may be able to supply a
similar motor? To email me just remove the spam form the address
astronomy_njspam at hotmail.com - Thanks, Louis
