was 486 the biggen last time?
What do people reckon are the chances of seeing the flare soon when it pops around again? Will anything be there to provide us with more auroras or anything we can look at with our scopes? |

Group 501 is at disk centre now; those other big groups are just rotating onto the limb as well, they are obviously going to stay big for a while at least. If the sky clears (a big IF in London area) there should be some naked-eye spots visible (be sure to use correct filters for sun observing such as certified eclipse specs).
