Ok, I think I'm sold on Orion's ED80. I read that Company Seven checks
things over before shipping and that they correct collimation issues. I looked at their website and it reminds me of The Sporting News circa 1945...no prices, no online ordering. Do you just call and order? Is their service good? Can someone advise... Doink |

Join yahoo group for Orion 80mm ED and learn how to square the focuser. or just leave it alone. it is just as good for normal observer. I got one frm the second shipment in nov or dec last year. enjoy it tremendously. Oh yeah. I square the focuser by using cheshire collimator for reflector. \\Sofjan Mustopoh |

Company Seven's Orion pricing is at http://www.company7.com/orion/pricing.html. Company Seven does not do on-line ordering. Davoud -- usenet *at* davidillig dawt com |

Doink As stated earlier, the prices are there. You can call them, too. Ask them about their hand check. They are local for me, so I get to visit them regularly. They are good folks. A small business with astronomers running it. I would not hesitate to deal with them via mail order. Tom |

I have bought a number of items from Orion----including two other scopes.
#1, because they are in California with a store, I have to Pay sales tax---8% #2, They over charge shipping/handling. #3 I believe in supporting the retailer "Sofjan" wrote in message ...
