Got a new computer with Win XP like the old one. Have installed both
registax and registax 2, but when I try to load .avi into it, a message pops up saying: "Failed to start AVI decompression" and then another one saying: "access violation at address 004033FA in module 'RegiStax2D.exe'. Read of address 00000000." What does this mean and how can I get RegiStax to work properly? Peter M --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Files with AVI extensions can actually be encoded in different manners: the correct software codec may be needed for proper decoding. Search google for avi codec for diagnostic and identification tools. Are you normally able to view those specific AVIs on the new computer? Did you install some camera specific software on the old computer? |
