We've seen aurora reports from Arizono, Greece, Texas
all Northern hemisphere. Did anybody see auroras in
S. hemisphere locations? Especially low latitiude?

Dark skies!

Hi,

SpaceWeather displayed an aurora recorded from Victoria, Australia (37°S), a
deep reddish glow, class 2 maybe.

I quite clearly saw bright aurora from Perth, Western Australia on the night
of that X17 solar flare. Bright firey red & pink mostly, extending about 20
degrees up, fainter for another 10 degrees.

I don't know enough about aurora to guage it's strength more accurately.

Roger.

The Siding Spring ConCam picked up an image of aurora which I have
