Southern Hemisphere Observing Time Wanted
I wish to lease three nights mostly visual observing time in mid-July or August, 2004 on a S. Hemisphere telescope of 0.5 to 1.0 meter size. I would prefer a site in Australia but will consider other S.H. locations. Please respond to describing the instrument and cost. The cost must include the services of an English speaking person familiar with the operation of the telescope. If not otherwise convenient, also mention prices for meals and lodging for the three days for one or two people. While not needed immediately the contact person or telescope operator should be prepared to enter into the preparation of an object list. This list should include, planets, asteroids, galaxies, planetary nebula, double stars, globular & open clusters and the Magellenic Clouds. This is a dream vacation project, probably my only chance to see the southern sky under dark skies and a large telescope. I suspect that this will be at a university observatory but that is not required. Thank you, tom -- We have discovered a therapy ( NOT a cure ) for the common cold. Play tuba for an hour. |
