Default Pentax XL 28mm vs Panoptic 24mm

Both go into 1.25" tubes and both give reasonably wide fields. The Pentax
has more eye relief. How does the performance compare? Is the Panoptic
comfortable with glasses on?

Finally, are the Pentax XLs anywhere near being parfocal with Tele Vue
Plossls and Radians? How much difference?

Thanks!
