Too bad there's simply not sufficient shielding for anything related as to accomplishing our moon or even of utilizing the moon's L1. - Brad Guth |

..
the Kliper project was deleted last year in favour of the Soyuz-like bigger ACTS capsule I don't like the Kliper design since it needs a space-tug to fly while in orbit however... with some (deep) changes, the Kliper can work (if they find the money to develop and build it...) .. |

The Russians are always short on money to develop new launch vehicles, manned space vehicles, and etc. Don't believe anything you read or "prototypes" you see that don't actually fly. In other words, I doubt it will ever be built due to lack of funds. Jeff -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" - B. The Russians also just sacked the fearless leader @ RKK Energia. Looks
like the upgraded Soyuz is even going to be a paper tiger. Lots of cool ideas on both sides of the big pond right now. Funds, & will seem to be the main road blocks. Carl |
