The Russian idea for a replasement of theyr spacecaptule, the KLIPER
reusable or semireusable depending on which configuration. How do you
people like the planned Russian veicle?

It looks great for most of anything LEO and ISS/ESS related, that is
as long as they too avoid the potentially lethal SAA contour that's
getting larger and deeper by the year.

Too bad there's simply not sufficient shielding for anything related
as to accomplishing our moon or even of utilizing the moon's L1.

Default Any opinions about the KLIPER? it's dead

..

the Kliper project was deleted last year in favour of the Soyuz-like
bigger ACTS capsule

I don't like the Kliper design since it needs a space-tug to fly while
in orbit

however... with some (deep) changes, the Kliper can work (if they find
the money to develop and build it...)

..

The same objection many of us have to any "paper" vehicle. The Russians are
always short on money to develop new launch vehicles, manned space vehicles,
and etc. Don't believe anything you read or "prototypes" you see that don't
actually fly.

In other words, I doubt it will ever be built due to lack of funds.

The Russians also just sacked the fearless leader @ RKK Energia. Looks
like the upgraded Soyuz is even going to be a paper tiger. Lots of
cool ideas on both sides of the big pond right now. Funds, & will seem
to be the main road blocks.
