The cold east wind out of the Columbia River Gorge hits with full force. The ice we got a couple weeks ago lasted on the ground up there almost a week! But there is a beautiful view of Mt. Hood.

Now the weather is turning colder again and talk of snow is back in the forecasts. Only 44F here in Tigard today, and expected low tonight of 29F! Tigard is down in the valley just to the west. I hear the sound of ice pellets coming down now!

Don't forget, No. 2 Ducks vs. Beavers tonight at 5:00 PST on ABC!

I used to eat McDonald's full breakfast with cakes when someone would give me a free McDonald's gift card. But is was so pitiful compared to the breakfast a real restaurant would give you.

A warm day here in Tigard at 53F. The predicted rain has mostly stayed away. A 20% chance for a nice day isn't bad odds in the winter time.

Watched the Batman marathon last night. Watching Dannny DeVito playing the Penguin and living in an underground sewer lagoon sure made me think about Hagar. The Penguin had everything going for him there except the gubmint cheese.

I transferred from the streetcar to the bus today near the PSU Bookstore. I went inside for the first time since the changed locations. Textbooks have gotten so expensive now that students have to rent them! A new Principles of Physics textbook today will cost you over 200 dollars! Lines were long because the fall term is starting. What a racket!

AA Fast food is not like siting in the Ritz Carlton. Warming up here, and I'm sleeping in cotton. Have the roof vent open. I like fresh air when sleeping. I watch very little TV in the Van.I read a book to put me to sleep. Here is a kicker got a call(could barely hear a lady say I'm going to be in a mag. I told her I'm deaf and gave her my email. email is the best way period. She mentioned "picture"? Saw 2 DRs yesterday and my body parts are working good being that they are 87 years old. Go figure I'm OK and M&M LIFE SAVING Duct Filters are getting known, and that is very good too TreBert

McD's is not even as good as Denny's.

I got kicked out of McD's a few times for sleeping.

All the comforts of home, huh?

Texting should work for you too.

A beautiful day here in Tigard. The Sun has broken though! Dry, calm and 48F as of 3:00 PM here. They say it could be 10 degrees warmer by tomorrow!

Watching the stock market crashing over the last couple days, it's hard to belief that the next recession might be brought on by the collapse of the oil market! But oil is big business, and loss of jobs in that sector is quickly spreading to other sectors. It's the end of the boom times for the frackers.

Nice and sunny here in Tigard. 53F here as of 3:45 PM. Walked over from the transit center. Looked over at a lake near the library and saw a great blue heron sitting there. Nice to be close to nature.

Lunch with Kim. Beautiful view of Mt. Hood today. Also caught a glimpse of Portland's other nearby (and sometimes explosive!) snow capped peak, Mt. St Helens.

Partly sunny and some east wind and 50F here in Tigard as of 2:00 PM. Saw a couple of big white birds that looked like swans in the upright position over by the lake where I saw the heron a couple days ago. I've never seen that kind of bird in the wild around here before.

Very interesting. Yes, I heard the pole was moving towards Siberia. Magnetic north has always been many degrees off from true north here in Oregon anyway. The big thing is if we have a pole reversal. Temporary poles could pop up in varies places during that process. The result could be to bring down large doses of solar radiation to those spots, because the radiation follows the magnetic lines of force.
