I suspect this was a simple mistake, either in calculating the drop or
measuring the rope.

This is not the first time it has happened. There were a couple of
instances in the UK this century before they ceased capital punishment.

the problem is we all lose our heads many times when it gets to hot...
the solution is to keep it cool... the only way not to lose the head...
just like we keep our beer in a cool place, so must we do, to keep our
