Hi, question on where to purchase a Synchronous motor that
may fit a Meade 826 with little or no mods? I've been
restoring this tele and...

Thanks for all the replies to my question, especially via email. I
finally found a source for a Meade AC synchronous motor thanks to Steve
Bedair's heads-up email. If anyone else has one of the older Meade
reflectors (591, 628, 826, 856, and possibly the 880, 1060, 1266) and
you need a sync motor you might want to quickly visit the following link
before Bill sells out.

http://astronomy-mall.com/telescope-warehouse/

Click on the Mounts & Drives link. Or check out his eBay link under
seller ID: scopehed1 - lots of Meade products.

If you need a synchronous motor for an Criterion RV-6 or 8 Dynascope,
try:

http://apogeeinc.com/mfg.html #13007 should be the item you need.

Again, thanks for the help offered, it's appreciated!

Rgds,
Louis
