A balmy 55F here in Tigard today. Cloudy but calm.
Well the Oregon Ducks really stomped their old nemesis Arizona 51 to 13 last night! Arizona wouldn't have even had 13 if the Ducks hadn't allowed them a charity touchdown on the last play of the game. Next stop for the Ducks is the BCS playoffs! Double-A |

The trick is to use an online card for 'certain things' only and not make random purchase with that card -- use another. If someone uses your card not at these location, the banks automatically deny the transaction. so u need to leave a 'clear' trail, so the companies knows your purchase patterns. then again, the issue is not online transactions, it is yahoo/google/msm are taking on a new MOBILE/WEB platform, so the old inferstructure of the web built 10 years ago or more will make going online to access email accounts nearly impossible. the LAPL los angeles lib system is on a T1 line, the most ancient of dynos. It is a little better than dialup and has 1,000s of phones and computers on 2 lines in my district. sometimes I cannot get on Washington Times or Post or NY Times, they take 20 minuets to load. And it is the connection not the processors or computer. You get a fast new comp, and still u get slow speeds. North Korea has 100 Gigabytles ( we have 16 kilobytles) per SECOND North Korea is modern internet, and the LA greater public system is living in paleo Dyno times. now u can see why I'm upset at all political parties. They fight their stupid social wars and do not renew the INFERSTRUCTURE of America. |

If you mail a credit card payment but the postal service delivers it late, the credit card company will not take that as an excuse, but will tell you to take it up with your "carrier". Then they will charge a late fee and raise your interest rate. Soon you may notice your other cards raising your interest too, because that's how it works! Last night I was listening to Coast to Coast and near the end of the show God himself called in! At least that's what he said. He said he would answer any questions, but the host and guest seemed dumbfounded and couldn't think of any questions! They put God on hold! Well anyway it raised the show to a new level! Double-A |

Usual rain, but only 53F today here in Tigard.
Lunch with Kim in downtown Portland. Some young woman on the street asked me if I knew that $28 from me would put a kid through school, what would I do? I told her that in my state of poverty, I couldn't afford it! Phony answer? Phony question! Double-A |

The big storm that was supposed to hit us Thursday missed us completely. Just a little SW wind kicked up but no rain. Too bad about California. Double-A |
