Does being this obnoxious make you feel good, or does it give you some
perverted pleasure?

Someone's asking a genuine question in a newsgroup which has a current
thread bemoaning the apparent demise of amatuer astronomy. and you
delight in posting these spiteful replies.

I think we've got the answer to the thread about At what point do the
amateur astronomers here give up?


I'm sorry you feel that way. Not knowing what level of information the OP
needs can make it tricky to know where to ptch an answer and sometimes it
really is more useful to suggest the user do their own research . In his
other question thread I posted a link that seems to have been of use; and
he does seem to have found the information he needs in this thread - and
hopefully much more.
