Subject: Orion cuts 80mm ED price to $399
Thanks for the 'heads-up'. I didn't really have any interest in one of these until I used one this past weekend at the Chiefland Star Party. What a nice little package! Absolute pinpoint stars edge to edge with a 35mm Pan Optic. Great Milky Way Sweeper @ 15X with a 4-1/2 degree field! Mike Harvey |

Agreed it was fun, but I would certainly encourage folks to take advantage
of the same sale price that Howard did. I'm not ABOUT to give up my trusty little Brandon 94mm, but this is about as good as it gets for the dollar spent. Well done, HOWARD! And thanks to Jon for encouraging that suth'n Arizona miscreant... -- Jan Owen To reach me directly, remove the Z, if one appears in my e-mail address... No, I found this bit of whimsy quite enchanting.... ..and that the ED glass is named after some guy named Escutcheon Dinglehoffer, who invented Colgate's invisible shield in the 1950's. Jon Isaacs |
