Greetings, all. I was invited to join this group by Derek Lyons who
rather convincingly explained to me that the X-15b as proposed was a non-starter. As a space historian, I wanted to say hello and join in on the fun. My current area of research is the first year of the American space program, particularly the Thor Able and Pioneers 0-2. Anyone out there with similar interests? |

I should warn you in advance that this group is a bit more rough-and-tumble and contains more ahm... personalities than the norm - but it's a good group. Persevere and you'll be rewarded. My current area of research is the first year of the American space program, particularly the Thor Able and Pioneers 0-2. Anyone out there with similar interests? I think the general bent of the group lies in the later manned programs (and Sperry ball turret evacution procedures[1]), but there are a few about who know a thing or two. We're always willing to listen and learn. Welcome! D. [1] An old and worn out inside joke. -- Touch-twice life. Eat. Drink. Laugh. -Resolved: To be more temperate in my postings. Oct 5th, 2004 JDL |

Pat Yes, and 1-3 Navahos designed to throw it into a sub-orbital skip jaunt around the world. Derek says it's un-possible. |
