I used a 24 hour electro-mechanical clock timer that you plug into the
mains to pre set appliances, £ 2.50 at Asda (walmart) tilted to my
co-lat with a camera on a ball joint bolted to the front. Not the most
elegant or the most precise but better than trying to hand drive a
barndoor :-)

There isn't much simpler than a barndoor tracker. I built my first one

The folks at Home Depot were happy to sell me a plank of the right

handle for the jack screw by chopping up a defunct video tape case.

Well I am in the process of building a type 3 I do belive it is with a .8 RPM motor and a heavy ass mount.Astrophotography up in Iceland is hard with gusty winds. But I wanted to know of a manufactured one is mine does not work. I really wanted to be done in time for Machholz meeting with pleadies but I guess not.
