Default Man's greatest achievement

When you ask people around the world what they think is man's greatest
achievement, many will answer the manned moon landings of the late '60's and
early '70's. It's unfortunate, therefore, that so many are denouncing the
Bush initiative to explore beyond Earth orbit.

What will man's greatest achievement be in 50 years? A manned Mars mission?
