![]() 3 Mar Full Moon. 12 Mar Last Quarter. = 9 day week.- Yup, the Moon went thru apogee about the time of the eclipse and it was moving slowly in its orbit. It's currently acellerating and we will be back to a 7 day week for the new moon on the 19th. Ben |

IIRC, it normally takes something like 30 hours. Weatherlawyer, I ran it across my spreadsheet and found that the Moon was 99.000000% full on Mar 2.9339. ( 22:24:49 UT) It was 99.0% again on Mar 5.00805. (00:11:36) That works to 49h 46m 47s. It can be longer if the apogee is precisely between the 99 percent increments. Ben |
