After mostly galaxies a change of pace back to a planetary nebula. Two
versions. I took this one with 1x1 binning which makes files way too big for usenet at 4008x2672 in size. So I've posted a half size image showing the entire field and a cropped full size image of this little guy. At -18 degrees it is a bit low for me so seeing wasn't all that good but a little unsharp masking helped with the nebula. The stars still look awful that low however. But I had to try it after the recent Hubble picture was released. It's not "quite" up to Hubble standards but then I didn't pay a billion bucks for the scope either. I took the RGB frames one day then on a night of better seeing I took the full resolution luminosity frames but clouds rolled in (as usual) cutting me off after only 5 sub frames out of the 12 I'd planned. Still it gave me something to work with. 14" LX200R@F/10, L=5x5' binned 1x1, RGB=3x5' binned 2x2, STL-11000XM, Paramount ME Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |
