I can imagine a spaceship full of muslim terrorists reading quran with
bombs, christians gays, lesbians having same sex, israelies fighting
with palestines, hindus giving bribes to each others, people in one
compartment declaring independance, rapes, murders, thefts, abuse etc.

Want to be captain of this spaceship?

By the time we have the technology to travel light years in hours, we
should have the technology to scan for bombs instantly, and thus be able
to
exclude bombs from the spaceship!

And before then, the Singularity shall have occurred, replacing humans
and driving them extinct.

We might connect these things to ourselves and become them, or they
may resurrect us for the museum or a better historical representation
of the past? Wy would they kill us? We will probably "be" them, a step
at a time along the way.

Hugo_de_Garis: He is more recently notorious for his view of the
eventual dominance of Artificial Intelligence over human intelligence,
which has sparked debate and criticism, particularly among the more
media-friendly members of the AI research community.

"Building Gods", an 80 minute documentary film by Ken Gumbs on the
theme of whether humanity should build godlike massively intelligent
machines later this century. This film will be shown in 2006 and 2007
at European and American film festivals. Also, listen to Ken Gumbs

don't be silly; this _is_ the museum.

That reminds me of a theory I made up in the mid 90s. I was under the
impression that it is much more likely that we are in some super
intelligent alien's simulation of all possible creatures that could
exist in this particular kind of universe, than that we naturally
happened in this one. I thought that in most universes that some
aliens evolve, figure out how to live for billions of years and figure
out many things we might think impossible. Things we will might figure
out over the next 1000s of years ourselves. Kooky huh.

So have you tried glancing upward while saying, "Computer, end program"?
