Beautiful picture Robert, as was the M-1 image.

Do you adjust the color balance or just take what the camera gives? Do you
use darks and/or flats? What mount are you using?

George,

Using a G-11 mount. I only adjust levels but bacause I adjust levels
for each color it does change the color balance. I try to adjust to a
neutral background color or no color. No dark frame, the older 300D
needed a dark frame subtraction but the 350D is a much better image.
It has far fewer defects and those can be cloned out easily.

Ah, a good choice Robert! I've had experience with several that were very
good and at Kopernik Observatory (www.kopernik.org) we have just put an
Astro-Physics 6-in F/12 on one. Since the dome blocks any wind the G-11 has
no problem with this long tube.

I see. I've been doing a little imaging with a Rebel XTi (350D??), but have
not tried darks yet. Since my most recent use of the camera has been at
temps well below freezing I figured it wouldn't need it anyway.
