Out comes my universe picture scrape book and I'm looking at Uranus
tipped over by nearly 100 degrees. Picture taken by Hubble in infrared. (more detail than in the optical band, and shows its white caps on its side, and an orange ring) very pretty. Now I know it is a big planet, and that is spinning at over one rotation in 17 hours. Then in my thinking it does not surprise me its magnetic field strength is 75% Earth's Now since it has its axis tilted so far over this begs the question is its magnetic field tipped relative to its axis poles??? Double-A Thank you. Got my answer fast for I just posted this. I
thougth that would be the case. It fits well with my spin theories. Never read that Uranus had a liquid iron core?? I think I read it has mainly ices,as compared to rock. That is another reason for my looking for magnetisim to create strong magnetic fields other than the use of a dynamo as theorized for Earth core having solid and liquid iron Go figure Hope your not to cold up there in Oregon. Good time to move closer to Saint Hellens, and cave out at the volcano. Bert |

Sounds like you are getting close to a damaging freeze to the orange crop, as California has already had a devastating freeze lately to theirs. Everything around here can stand temperatures down into the teens with no problems. A couple weeks ago it was 19F one morning. No one wants to get any closer to the volcano. Nobody knows what it is going to do. Double-A |

Double-A We were 1 degree warmer. 69F as I'm typing on the back
porch, and bright Sun I'm so cheap I hate to see volcanoes heat wasted. Man should build very large under ground pool of water(size of a lake) ,and build a large electric plant on top of it. to feed its boilers that bring it to steam Why not? Bert . |

When St. Helens blew back on May 18, 1980, a whole side of the mountain came down into Spirit Lake, and sent a torrent of water down the Toutle River that wiped out everything built along it. Many people lost their homes that day. Later a new Spirit Lake formed, a little further away from the base of the mountain than the old one. The old caretaker, Harry Truman, is still burried somewhere under all that rock and ash! It was once such a magical place, the beautiful blue lake with the giant snow cone mountain sitting right on the other side of it from you. You could pick up a big rock, and it would be light as a feather: pumice stone! Double-A |

Double-A Harry Truman we all read about. he must have loved that
mountain. 100,000 years from now he will be found,as a fossil, and be studied.much like the Romans we found covered by volcanic ash.. Much like the "ice Man" They died to show us what they were like in their spacetime. Sad but True Bert |

Most of the time, DA, volcanoes just sit there.

What the hell does this have to do with Uranus, BEERTbrain? Or is it
Ur-anus? Cactus Saul Your replying to posts that are 20 days old. Is your no wit
brain creating a time laps? Maybe walking around the sandy desert chasing those mirages.in the hot Sun is burning up the few brain cells you have left. My advice to you is get in the shade and eat some MSP every day. and get off those bad drugs Bert |
