I was going to be very silly and say, holding up your fence, but I've not
noticed a problem here.

John, I assume that you are using Outlook Express (as I do) to read this
newsgroup.
It is possible that you deleted all of the old posts, have it set to only
pull in a certain amount of new posts, have it set to delete all read posts
upon exiting, etc.

If you go to http://groups.google.com and type in sci.space.shuttle you will
have access to every post ever made on this group, just in a different
format.

By going into the Tools tab on O.E., you may set it up to hold on to all of
the posts, download them in sufficient quantities, etc.

Ok.. I can maybe offer a bit of insight here.
This should not have affected anyone but newsguy customers, but perhaps
some servers downstream had hiccups.

They recently took 3 days off line in order to re-locate and install new
servers and other hardware which has various names like routers, and
front ends, and other words that I only vaguely understand...

IF this is what affected you it should be over by now..

In another NG someone said that Roadrunner changed or did something to their
news server. This caused a tremendous hiccup in their usenet postings.
