Default FWD: Jon Rogers to release updated addendum to Haggarty's "Spaceship Handbook"

http://home.wavecable.com/%7Erogerse...cement%201.htm

From Jon's press release:

"The Spaceship Handbook examined the evolution of the Spaceship from
fantasy to commodity. For Science Fiction Fans, Space and Rocket
enthusiasts as well as precision model makers it was a treasure trove
of information on the most significant spaceships of the 20th Century
and the people who created them.

One of it's hallmarks was the detailed, scaled drawings of each of the
Spaceships covered. Painstakenly researched and accurately drawn to
capture the original design as it truely was, they allowed the
recreation of all these classic spaceships. By themselves they alone
were worth the price of the book.

The Spaceship Handbook, printed in limited edition was so popular it
sold rapidly and is now out of print. Today it brings over three times
it's cover price--IF you can find a copy. Many enthusiasts have
regretted not owning a copy of the book or any of the fine engineering
drawings it contains.

Well, Opportunity knocks. Jon Rogers, Co-author and illustrator of
the Spaceship Handbook has decided to reprint a special edition of
the data drawings he created for the Spaceship Handbook for Christmas
2006. As in the book, they will be sharply detailed, color accented
and accurately scaled. But, unlike those in the book they will also
be:

Printed on heavy Photographic quality paper suitable for framing.
and In some cases more finely featured, Upreved editions,
available by Christmas 2006 (and for an unknown, limited time
thereafter) "

....I've got a copy of Jon & Jack's book, complete with the Fred Ordway
forward, natch, and it was one really good book. Aimed really more at
the model rocketry crowd, it's still a good reference book, and if you
use it in conjunction with Asif's book, the combined mass will kill a
medium-sized child who happens to annoy you too much.
