I am a trainee astrophysicist and need help on my latest project

Hi, my name is Roger and I study astronomy/space science at the
University of Kentucky.

This is the last piece of coursework I have before Christmas. It is
proving really hard 4 me to figure out, so I wondered if you could
help me with this question:
