Default Gemini B adapter section

U.S. Space News has pictures of the the Gemini B adapter section that
the Skylab restorers found that would join the Blue Gemini to the MOL,
and allow the astronauts exit the heatshield hatch and get into the MOL:

The six retros each seem to have two igniter systems on them, I assume
these are main and back-up.

....Man, that ranks right up there with finding the remains of Space
Station V from "2001" in someone's back yard a few years back.
Underman's still not sure how it got there after it's last public
appearance as part of an AT&T float in a New Year's Day parade in the
really early 70's. That and Bowman's Pod were part of that float even
though they were supposedly destroyed by Kubrick's orders.

....Actually, weren't the center two used for separation motors?

Has the pod been located as well? A replica of that would look
cool in my back yard, sitting there totally out of context. Hmmmm

Dale

It's probably been done already- no doubt by the great Colani.
He's a guy worthy of worship, IMO...

....Nope. And nobody in AT&T's marketing or PR departments working
there in the past five years has any information about the float, as
all documents are long since trashed and everyone who worked in those
departments back then are either long since gone and/or long since
dead. A lot of them weren't even aware that the float even existed
until they reportedly came across a couple of polaroids of the damn
thing.

....One thing a Pod replica would be great for - the ultimate sound &
video immersion egg chair!
