Default Dr. Alan Boss

Hello,
I want to get a few details about Dr. Alan Boss, Department of
Terrestrial Magnetism, Carnegie Institution of Washington.
Was he associated with the team that explored the star HD 69830 and
dicovered the presence of three Neptune-mass planets?
The discovery was disclosed in a Nature article.

Is Alan Boss of East Indian origin? Has he any familial relation to Dr
Satyendra Nath Bose of famous Bose-Einstein statistics?
I tried to contact him at his official email address, but failed.
I am making this query because I want to check the veracity of a few
pieces of information found in an erring article in a local newspaper.
Thanks in advance
Cru___X
