Default A serious question...

How did this newsgroup deteriorate so badly in only 6 years or so?

The same bunch of raving lunatics I expected, like Brad...

But there's a whole new crop that are just as bad, and some that are worse.

Can we get usenet to develop a universal killfile protocol (UKP) that would:

Scan for all of their names and email accounts;
delete all messages posted by these assorted mentally ill people,
and collect money to provide them with the medication they all so obviously
need?

I'll contribute $5.00 per week for the cyanide for them...

Ed

I'm not sure just when the flood of garbage hit the group, it used to be 90%
astronomy but now it's 98% cesspool stuff. And no, there's no way to get the
net to build in filters, not when every node would have to install them. My
own killfile gets a major amount of workout on this group.
