Default The Great Quake

It was one hundred years ago today that San Francisco was destroyed by
the great earthquake of 1906.

About a dozen survivors gathered today at a ceremony. I wonder if ah
was among them?

Experts say it's only a matter of time till the next one of equal
magnitude strikes!

Oh the humanity!

Double-A

P.S. Bears are said to be coming down from the hills and invading
California cities. They enjoy dining at dumpsters and French poodles
are their snacks! Perhaps it's time to rethink those prohibitions on
hunting bears with dogs and bait? That goes for the burgeoning cougars
too.

You're right about that, AD, but the latest DOOM AND GLOOM is from
GLOBAL DIMMING! Pollution is cutting down the amount of sunlight
reaching the surface. The amount is 22% less in Israel, 10% in the
U.S. Other amounts around the world. It happens to be helping with
the terrible GLOBAL WARMING which MAY BE much more of a problem than
originally thought. Countries are cleaning up their pollution so
GLOBAL DIMMING may be going away (yeah, sure!). GLOBAL WARMING may
reach 18-35 degrees F. by 2100. That's what the latest Nova program
had to say.

Ummmm, sounds a bit too much like the usual DOOM AND GLOOM to me!
I'll believe it when I see it!
