Default The replaced fuel sensors

Is it safe is assume as soon as the old faulty ones were removed they
got sent to for testing somewhere?

To find out if they were really bad or if some other component was the
cause of the flakey readings...

how long should such testing take? if the sensors are found to be ok
then what happens?
