CBC News

A Quebec man escaped with minor injuries early Thursday after the
minivan he was driving fell into a huge sinkhole, which has cut off
access to a small Quebec town.

Police say the sinkhole - which measures nine metres wide and six
metres deep - opened up on the road into Sainte-Victoire-de-Sorel,
east of Montreal, around 1 a.m. Thursday.
Firefighters prepare to pull a minivan from the sinkhole near
Sainte-Victoire-de-Sorel, east of Montreal. (CBC)

The driver injured his collarbone when his vehicle hydroplaned across
the collapsing roadway and into the hole. ...
