Default Question about possible bogus photo

My sister-in-law sent me a series of photographs purported to be of the
break-up of Columbia, taken by an Israeli sattelite.

Has this appeared elsewhere? Is there any piece of truth in it at all?

It sure looks bogus to me..

Very bogus. Those surfaced shortly after the disaster and they have no
credibility whatsoever. They were debunked just as quickly as they
showed up.

Barbara's sister-in-law might have been thinking of the other urban legend,
also debunked:

Might have... but no, it was the first one. Thanks for both answers
though.

If it's the still photos from the sci-fi film "Armagedon" it's a really
sick joke which was spread a couple of days after the accident.

However Israel's "spy satellite" a/k/a Earth Resources satellite EROS-1
did take photos of Columbia -- but they were taken the day before
launch when Columbia was still sitting on its launch pad. Check it out
