Hi All,
I don't know if this has hit the UK news group yet, but I just received it. Good news. __________________________________ UPDATE ON SIR PATRICK MOORE As many of you will know, our Honorary Vice-President Sir Patrick Moore went into hospital in Chichester earlier this week to have a pacemaker fitted, as he was experiencing an erratic heartbeat. I am pleased to inform members that Patrick had the pacemaker fitted this morning (Thursday) and it is working fine. In a very short time he was sitting up in bed reading his newspaper. I have just come back from visiting him in hospital and he is in good form. His principal concerns were the latest cricket score from India and whether Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter enters orbit around Mars successfully tomorrow - in short, the old Patrick! Patrick hopes to be back home at the weekend. He thanks BAA members for the many kind wishes he has received over the past few days. John Mason 9th March 2006 _____________________________ Very best wishes and clear, dark skies. -- Paul B, York, UK.
