Default Suggestions for a 8" newt ?

Hi all,

I have a Meade 114mm Newtonian with Alt-Az motors and I have just
started using a ToUcam webcam, but getting images of anything other
than the moon is quite difficult due to focus issues, tripod stability
and lack of light etc

So I think it's time to trade up, to maybe a 8" newt with dual motors
(Goto not required but would be nice). My budget is a bit tight so I
expect I am not looking at the 'top end' of the market. I am thinking
of keeping the Meade but I will sell it to increase the budget.

Any suggestions for a 8" Newt from anyone who uses webcams?

Also would it be worth getting an electric focuser eg like the home
brew one at www.switchedsystems.co.uk ? - any one using one?

Thanks,

Reddog
