Default Best software to control an lx90 ?

Using an LX90 8", or rather I have one, but haven't managed to get outside
with it yet as it's either been cloudy, or when it's been clear, I've been
sick.

I've attached a laptop to it and managed to get its autostar firmware
updated to the latest version, which was not going will until I found a
USB-RS232 cable.

My next project is write something to extract the GPS data from my PDA and
send it to my Laptop and then down the serial port to the scope, save typing
the coords in each time I go somewhere new.

So now I'm wondering what the best software to use to control the GOTO
capabilities of the scope from the laptop. I don't believe the Starry
Night program that comes with it will control the scope, it seems just to be
able to send a "park" signal to it. .(which works).

TIA
Adrian
