Default Merseyside Astronomy Day

Hi there all,

I'm sure some of you know about this already, but I thought it worthwhile
to relay this to a wide audience..
On Saturday 11th March, Liverpool John Moores University are hosting
the (first?) Merseyside Astronomy Day.

Speakers include Dr Andrew Newsam ('Things that go bang in the Night'),
Professor Fred Taylor ('Exploring the Planets'), Dr Phil James ('When
galaxies collide') and
Dr Robert Massey 'Imaging the Universe').

Entry to these talks is by prebooked tickets only.

Venue - Spaceport, Victoria Place, Seacombe, Wallasey, in the Wirral

How to get there - take a ferry from near Liverpool Lime Street station.
There is also parking at the Spaceport.

More details on www.astro.livjm.ac.uk/MAD

Entry to the day is £6.50 for adults and £4.50 for children.

Day starts about 9am and finishes around 6pm.

regards

Robert
