I'm still finding my feet on the PST image processing front but I've
updated my Jan H-alpha page with a few more attempts. I've even thrown
in a prominence so there's something interesting to look at ;-)

The sun in ha is just _the_ coolest thing in the entire field astronomy... I
really should buy a PST for the office window, might stop me from, err bird
watching all day

Nice Pete. The limb darkening seems to follow the pattern of white
light projection...?

Whether this is the case, I can't say at the moment (no Sun to confirm
it!). The camera certainly shows an effect akin to limb brightening at
the exposure levels required to capture the full disk image, but this
may be due to the optical charateristics of the PST. It's not uncommon
to find the centre of the 'highlight' off to one side - which would be
an instrumental effect of course. In the full disk image from the
24th, the original hotspot was quite close to the upper left limb. A
bit of experimentation was needed to bring it back into the centre
again.
