Recent photos from the rover have shown a shallow crater nicknamed 'sleepy
hollow' not far from Spirit's landing site. In fact there appear to be several such shallow bowls thought to be impact craters. Here's my (stupid) question: What are the chances that some of these craters were created by the bouncing airbags themselves? Apparently 'sleepy hollow' is 30 ft across. Anyone know what the size of the airbags is ? Just curious .... |

There are marks within Sleepy Hollow that appear to have been caused by the airbags - but certainly not Sleepy Hollow itself. |
