Been a poor month for clear skies - I've only seen the sun four days this Jan and two of these were yesterday and today when a sole double prom seen on east limb. This prom has gone ballistic this afternoon 1400UT up to 1/10 solar diam! View it now in H-alpha if you can as it explodes upwards in fine jets in almost realtime.
Too late! - this prom had gone within the hour and returned to its appearance on attached image taken in the morning. Nytecam 51N 0.1W Last edited by nytecam : January 21st 06 at 03:44 PM. |
