News Release
Deepsky Beginner Astronomy Software
New for 2006, Deepsky Beginner Arrives!
=========================================
Janesville, Wisconsin January 14, 2006 - Steven S Tuma today announced the
release of a new version of Deepsky targeted at beginning observers.
Deepsky Beginner, a "lite" version of Deepsky, is based on the original but
focuses its tools on less experienced observers.

Its user friendly features include the new HOME menu, which consolidates
many of the popular tools on one screen making it easy to navigate the
software. A new tool called the star chart wizard makes it easy for users
to create star charts showing popular deep sky objects without having to
perform searches first. Also new in Deepsky Beginner are integrated
training videos on various screens that let the user follow along as they
use the software. In addition, many existing features from Deepsky such as
the multi tab spreadsheet, observing planner, filters and program setup have
been simplified to make using the software easier than ever. The large 60
catalog Deepsky database of 726,000 objects has been shrunk to just a single
database of 10,000 popular objects that new users will find easy to
navigate.

Features Include:
-----------------
.. Learn the night sky using the Star Chart wizard.
.. View over 10,000 images of Galaxies, Nebula, and other objects.
.. Generate a list of objects that are visible right now.
.. Keep track of what you see using the Logbook or Journal.
.. Search the 10,000 object Database for Galaxies, Nebula, and other objects.
.. Set the time on your PC's clock to match an accurate Internet time server.
.. Control your telescope with your computer using ASCOM.
.. View Real-time information on the Sun, Moon, Planets, Asteroids, & Comets.
.. Includes many popular observing lists to get you started.

Deepsky Beginner is available for $37.99 at http://www.deepskybeginner.com
