In message .com,
bodysnatcher writes hopefully some sort of bacteria or or maybe a new element! No new elements. I'm not counting my chickens, but hoping to post congratulations and sign up for Stardust@home http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/participation.html tomorrow morning! It would be nice to see Sir Fred Hoyle vindicated, but I just don't think it's going to happen. |

It is, though, using organic computers. :-) -- Hil |

The best we might hope for is some unusual and informative isotope ratios and maybe more complex cyclic organic tarry residues than expected. It would be nice to see Sir Fred Hoyle vindicated, but I just don't think it's going to happen. Nor do I. But there is no susbstitute for doing the experiment. I expect that any flora or fauna may look distinctly like those of the Utah desert. Even more so if they fluff the landing... Regards, Martin Brown |
