I have a C8 on Gc-5 mount (non-goto), along with a DMK firewire camera,
manual filter wheel and a JMI electric focuser. Since I'd like to be able to operate this system remotely and wireless, it is evident that I am going to have to upgrade/ modify my setup. I do have a laptop at the scope, so at least that is covered. What about the mount- is there a way I can modify the hand controller for remote operation? What would be a *reasonably* priced filter wheel that could be computer controlled? Can I upgrade to a computer controlled electric focuser and recommended brand? Lastly, I'm wondering how much such a wireless upgrade is going to cost and if it's worth it. If I absolutely had to, I could run wires to the focuser and hand controller, but the filter wheel would still have to be upgraded. Thank you, Beryl |
