Default No Viewing & Leaking roof again

Well, there's no viewing tonight out in the high desert, been raining almost
all day and the so called repair job the trailer park owner did on my roof
SUCKS as it's leaking again, started right next to where I had Galactica
standing, so I moved it over to by the cooking stove and put some tubs to
catch the water. If the owner had 2 cents worth of brains he'd not know what
the hell to do.

Yeah, Dennis -- that roof repair did not look to me to be adequate for
the kind of storm we're having down here now; and I suspect it's worse
the farther north you go (like in Rosamond).

Oh I had figured it would leak, this owner is so cheap that it's not funny
and for some reason he doesn't like the white coating that your suppost to
put on trailer roofs like this one, he says it wares out in 5 years, will
the stupid black cold tar he used doesn't last that long You noticed the
plywood showing inside, that's from the leaks of last spring which cost me
all my Battlestar Galactica tapes and a computer keyboard on my Atari 1040ST
and a bunch of other stuff. I went out and put the smaller of the two
plastic tarps I have up on top to try and slow down the leak a tiny bit.

I wish his mother had never bought the trailer park.

I'm stuck, if i complain to the state, I'd be out of here as they'd most
likely close down about 1/2 the trailers here and I can't find another place
I can afford.

Well, you can't be *too* hard on him. The kind of rain you have there is
far beyond the normal.

Oh yes I can and for the following reasons:

1. He did nothing but use the cold tar stuff that is made for repairing
Swamp Coolers, not trailer roofs, because he's nothing but a cheap skate,
he'll not but the stuff thats suppost to to be used to coat trailer roofs.

2. Because he's to cheap to get the right stuff and do a good job, he calls
the leaking roof and the damage to me belongings an "Act of God".

He came back from MaMa's place last thursday and has not come out of his
trailer since then. I also let him know that the bathroom floor under and
around the crapper is rotting away from the flood last year and he's still
not made any repairs, 6 months and counting, so I'm getting ready to do the
job myself.

Early this afternoon during the worst of the rain, a whole new section of
the celeing tiles came down ontop of my standby microwave oven. At this time
I've got two 20ot tubs and a tall trash can collectiong the rain water
coming threw the roof, in the same areas where my tapes last year got soaked
and trashed, only this time I had the tubs already there as I didn't trust
his repair job at all.

He will not have the trees here in the park trimmed, today two trailers over
from me, a major tree branch came down during a hard blow and just missed
the renters car, if it had hit, the car would have been wiped out and the
owner carrys no insuance on the park for anything at all.

He probably doesn't like Snow Coat (the white stuff) because it costs more
than tar.

That's not hard to figure out, he's still using the same 1 gal can of cold
tar he got 2 years ago, he's to cheap to shell out the $10.00 for the same
size snow coating.

Dennis, is there a Legal Aid Society in or around Rosamond? You're right,
one person, with limited means isn't going to get anywhere. But a rent
strike by your whole trailer park community might shape this guy up. But
I'd talk to someone from Legal Aid or some such similar group first.

Nothing like that in Rosamond, the nearest court is up in Mojave. As for a
rent strick, there's at lest 1/2 of the part is self owned trailers, the
rentals, when ever anyone moves out all he dose is incress the rent for the
next sucker. In fact there are at lest 3 empty trailers that are awaiting
repair work and they've been empty for up to 3 years some of them and he's
not done anything to get them fixed up and rented.

I just keep watching for another place, but the rents around the area have
gone right into orbit.
