Raggae comes from a black hole?

I was backing cautiously away from that one and stepped right in
this one:

http://www.maths.tcd.ie/EMIS/journal...icle_prep.html

i learned almost everything i know about black holes from science
fiction books. the rest i learned from science fiction movies and
tv shows.

All I had was a little angular momentum question and all Hell broke
loose.

For every action there is ... ?

this, of course, assumes that "cause and effect" is valid. which gets
more
than a little bit dicey around the event horizon of a black hole.

Are there any pictures of documented black holes or just theories on what
might cause black holes?

Mass inferences to start with; then x- ray sources right where the little
boogers are supposed to be; a wondrous VLA image of a neon ring spinning
around the inferred giant black hole called the "Core Beast" at the center
of the Milky Way, which image I can't find anywhere on the Net, goddamit
(it was run in _Astronomy_ magazine about twenty years ago); and finally,
yes, pictures of various other "accretion disks".

You can't, exactly, *see* a black hole, you know . . . .

(Among other things, it'd suck the lenses right out of yer binocs.)

((And the binocs right outa yer hands.))

(((And yer hands right off yer arms . . . .)))

"You have," the machine informed him, "a classic case
of feem desire, complicated by strong dwarkish
intentions."

"I do? I thought I was homicidal."
