I was digging around for that space station design and came across this
photo of a full scale mock-up of a Soviet space-to-space homing missile: http://www.fas.org/spp/starwars/prog...iet/ener_4.jpg Note the location of the four maneuvering thrusters well ahead of the CG, so that it can't move straight sideways the way the Brilliant Pebbles interceptor we ground hover tested could. If I read the captions right - it's actually a two stage vehicle that's illustrated. (Item 2 is 'booster' while item 5 is 'head stage'.) Of course, that assumes that the technichal translation is in fact correct, often a problem with Russian material IIRC. D. -- Touch-twice life. Eat. Drink. Where as Spanish needs to be taught during all years of the curriculum with equal attention paid to the language mechanics and the cultural aspects so as to keep the students from being bored, Russian needs the cultural aspects so non-Russians can have a clue as to why Western-derived terminological descriptors wind up with the oddball versions the Russians apply to them.
