Can someone please provide the relative power that can be achieved from
the various fuels used in rockets by mass. Those I am interested in our Nitrous Oxide/ rubber e.g. Spaceship 1 Hydrogen / Oxygen e.g. Apollo Gunpowder Shuttle solid boosters Paraffin/Oxygen e.g. SpaceX Hydrazine / xxx e.g. Me 163 and any others that are in use/ or proposed that people know of. I am not worried about engine and storage mass at the moment. |

However, that only tells part of the equation. Since for fast acceleration you also want a high thrust. Googling, first hit brings up: http://www.dunnspace.com/isp.htm which appears to be useful.
