Seben / Orion?

Hi,

I heard that Orion and seben are the same scopes?

I have in the post a Seben 203mm reflector.
I also ordered the motorized mount but was
thinking about a goto mount.

will the Orion (or anybody else's) goto mount work with this scope?
I see that they are really cheap in the USA so I may order one form there.

Orion and Seben are both brand names, i.e. they are outfits that put
their own brand on kit made by other people. I know that the Orion ED
*eyepieces* are the same as the Seben ones, but I also know that some of
the Orion telescopes are made by Synta; AFAIK Seben do not do Synta kit.

In other words, it is true that *some* of the Seben kit is the same as
*some* of the Orion kit, but it is likely that a lot of it isn't the
same.

See what sort of fitting the scope has -- if it is a standard dovetail
(which is increasingly common), you have a lot of choice of mount.
