Wray refractor stolen in Chester, England
An historic refractor tube assembly was stolen froom author Richard Baum on 12 September. This is a Wray telescope, circa 1895, just the tube (black lacquer), focuser, finder, and adjustment rods, all in a box (no optics). The tube is unsigned but carries a plate 'Adjusted by Broadhust & Clarkson.' The location was Whitchurch Road, Chester, not far from Liverpool and Manchester. Two images are posted to: http://home.europa.com/~telscope/tem...R.-Wray.01.jpg http://home.europa.com/~telscope/tem...R.-Wray.02.jpg If you can assist in recovery, please contact richard(at)julianbaum.co.uk replace (at) with @ -- ============================================= Peter Abrahams telscope.at.europa.dot.com The history of the telescope and the binocular: http://home.europa.com/~telscope/binotele.htm |
