The last quarter moon is currently [10am BST] a fine object high in the western clear blue sky this Saturday morning. Has anyone tried imaging of lunar craters under these conditions using a polar filter [max effect at 90o to the sun as now] to darken the sky background? One for Pete perhaps ;-)
